We collect limited information to provide and improve the game. Because we use Microsoft PlayFab for backend services, the following data is collected:

• Device ID: We collect your Android/iOS Device ID to create an anonymous “Guest” account. This allows you to save your progress, high scores, and in-game purchase.

• User ID: A unique PlayFab ID is assigned to your account to manage your game data.

• Approximate Location: We collect coarse location data (derived from your IP address) for analytics.

• App Activity: We track basic interactions, such as run completion and session length, for analytics and app functionality.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• App Functionality: To authenticate your login and save your game state.

• Analytics: To understand how many people are playing and to improve game performance.

• Account Management: To maintain your unique player profile.

• Security & Fraud Prevention: To protect our services and prevent unauthorized access or cheating.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Your information is only shared with our service provider, Microsoft PlayFab, which processes the data on our behalf to provide backend game services.

5. Data Retention & Security

• Security: All data is transmitted over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS).

• Retention: We keep your game data as long as your account is active. If you do not play the game for an extended period, we may delete inactive account data to save space.

6. Account and Data Deletion

We provide a secure, multi-channel process for users to delete their account and associated data.

• Verified Web Deletion (App required):

  To prevent unauthorized account deletion, we use a two-step verification process:

  1. In the QuickClimb settings menu, tap “Delete my account”

  2. Note your Player ID and the 6-digit Verification Code generated.

  3. Visit our Account Deletion Portal and enter both IDs to authorize immediate deletion.

• Email Request (No app required):

  Send an email to quickclimb@theanaverwaerde.dev with the subject “Account Deletion Request - QuickClimb”.

  Please provide enough information for us to verify your identity, such as your Player ID, Display Name, or approximate IP Location/Login dates.

  We will perform manual device verification and purge your data within 14 days.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our game is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

8. Third-Party Services

Our game is built using the MonoGame framework and uses Microsoft PlayFab for cloud saves and analytics.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
